Shoreline Amphitheatre was opened in 1986 under the direction of Bill Graham Presents. It was designed for the optimum comfort of performers and audience. Shoreline Amphitheatre is a state-of-the-art event facility incorporating all of the technical, visual, service and comfort elements that the Bill Graham Presents organization developed during its 30+ years in the entertainment industry.


Shoreline's layout is easy to navigate and very flexible. Just inside the park, the Concourse Area is a fantastic event site in its own right. Two semi-circular, tree-lined paths, one on either side of the main entrance, curve through the park and lead to the Main Bowl. The lawn area incline is designed at an angle to allow for great sight lines. The Amphitheatre is designed so that no matter where you're sitting, you're never very far from the stage. Another plus is that each of the 6,500 fixed seats boasts three feet of legroom.

Situated on over 60 acres in the heart of Silicon Valley -- 10 miles north of San Jose and 35 miles south of San Francisco -- Shoreline boasts one of the worlds largest tent structures, state-of-the-art sound and video systems, and helpful, friendly staff who make as many as 25,000 people per event feel safe, happy and comfortable
